Family fun
Posted on October 18, 2008
Here is a sneak peek from a family session last weekend. We decided to go to down to Lake Michigan (which is walking distance from their house–very cool). I know it was bright, but what fun images! Thank you so much for a fun day and Miss Kerstyn (hope I am spelling this right mom) is so cute. Check out her eyes. She was such a sweetheart!
I had my mini session today and wanted to say thank you to all the families that traveled to meet me today at the park. The weather was awesome and you were all so fun!

And a few family ones
Posted on October 17, 2008
Mom had a vision here so we went with it. She emailed me one day and linked me to a blog and said she wanted to try something like this. Unfortunately the word she wanted was BLISS (which I love), but we could not find the letters she liked so we went with my word. The idea came from Tara Whitney (my client is a huge fan–me too) and the letters from a fabulous store out in California Timeless Treasures (Joan if you are reading this I will get you pictures soon). Sarah your family is beautiful. It is always a treat for me to photograph you all. Enjoy!
Side not I have a few more ideas for my own family and these letters so stay tuned. I am going to try a few things with my girls and on Sunday a fellow photographer friends of mine, Miss Amy, has so kindly offered to take family pictures for me. I am bringing the letters–ha!

Here are some pictures of little Miss Finley. She is absolutely adorable! I smile every time I look at these images. Sarah I promise I am getting closer to getting your gallery done.
I have a few other families waiting for sneak peeks too and I promise I am working hard. Soon really soon they will be up.
Thank you to all my clients for understanding how busy this time of year is for me.

Miss Graelen
Posted on October 16, 2008
Last weekend I had the most amazing family to photograph (well all my families are amazing). First up is Miss Graelen. Her mom LOVES pictures and we have a lot of fun emailing back and forth about clothing options. Graelen is such a joy to photograph. Well enough already right. Check out all Graelen’s different looks–ha! It was very difficult to narrow down my favorites. There are just so many. Sarah she is beautiful! I had a great time with her and your family. More family images and images of little sister to come soon.

boys boys boys

So guess what happened days before this session??? A certain little guy fractured his arm on the playground at school! I think it is great that mom went ahead with the session anyways. Boys will be boys right? Or at least that is what I am told.
Enjoy!

Beautiful

Okay I could not help myself and had to look at a few of these images. I know mom is watching for a little peek and I told her it would be a week or two before she could see any, but I just HAD to LOOK! WOW. I am in LOVE. When I suggested turning the chair backwards I totally forgot that Miss Finnley would be to short to peek over the top and when she tried we all just laughed. It was so cute. Sarah I know you are even more excited now to see these images. You will be amazed.
I am praying that the leaves stay on the trees here until Friday. I have my own family pictures set to go and need the leaves to stay. They are about half gone. Cross your fingers for me!

baby girl

I had the pleasure of photographing an 8 day old baby girl last week. This is the first baby girl I have photographed since January. It has been the year of boys for me! Check out her cute smile with Big Brother. I LOVE it! This little peanut loved being in mom’s arms and who could blame her. We finally got her to sleep at the very end of the session (which is usually what each and every newborn does) and look at the smiles I got! I could not be happier with these images. She is so sweet and sleepy. What a very special time in this families life. Thank you for making me part of it.

In the middle of it
Posted on October 13, 2008
My busy season that is. Wow did I get to photograph some amazing beautiful families and children this weekend. I have so many images to sort through and promise to work hard to get them all up soon. Trust me it is killing me not to edit them all right away! First up is Miss Molly and a little sneak peek for mom. She had the greatest winter jacket! Even though it was in the 70’s outside we put the jacket on and the matching hat. Is she not adorable!
Thank you to all the families I photographed this weekend. I really feel lucky to do something I love. I cannot imagine doing anything else.

8 days old

This week I am one lucky photographer. I get to photograph two newborns! One came a little late and one a little early and so I wound up photographing them both this week. First meet Samuel. He was so sweet and little. He slept the entire time and was a perfect sleepy little boy. This was a real treat for me. I really enjoyed the break from my typical fall sessions to focus on a new baby.

Twins

I am showing a super super early sneak peek today of this beautiful family. I think mom is a little worried I did not get good images and I want to put her mind at ease. I traveled to Madison (McFarlnad to be exact) on Sunday and it was grey and rainy outside so we stayed in. It ended up working out great. These kids are absolutely beautiful! I had a great time with them and they were so so good. The girls are just the sweetest and big brother was awesome. Harrison I hope you enjoyed your french fries for being such a good listener. Talk to you soon.
