Meet Mr. Caden.  Is he not the sweetest newborn ever!  I just love the smile in the first image and how he has his arms tight by his face in the others.  We did some really fun poses this session that I am saving for the familie’s gallery.  Angie thank you for being so creative and open minded.  I had a lot of fun.  I hope everyone had a fun holiday weekend!  I know my kids are crossing their fingers hoping for a snow day tomorrow.  We will see!

Brothers & Sister

Posted on November 26, 2008

I had the pleasure of photographing Miss Kaitlin this past summer for her senior pictures and when mom contacted me to photograph her again with her brothers I was thrilled.  Mom said after talking with her husband she really wanted to get these images because with Kaitlin going off to college next year this may be her last opportunity for awhile.  That just makes me smile.  It was a cold and windy day and these guys were good sports about being outside in the cold.  I have so many great images to share with the family.  Thank you for letting me document this time for you.

I thought I would mix it up a little and show only black and white images from this session.

Thank you to everyone who has checked in to see how I was doing because of lack of blog posts.  I am here just a busy time of year.  I also have some exciting news.  I was in Illinios this past weekend for my first commerical shoot.  It was a lot of fun–loved having hair and makeup!  I also worked with and met some very nice and talented people.  Thank you for the opportunity Clara!  More details to come later.

Happy Birthday Sawyer!

Posted on November 24, 2008

My oldest daughter turned 7 on Saturday and we spent the day in Chicago at the American Girl Store!  What a fun and exhausting day.  We took the train down and rode in cabs all day.  The girls just had a blast.  All three got their very own American Girl doll and we had a birthday lunch with them–fun fun day!  I decided not to bring my camera and just wear the “hat” of mom that day.  I did however, bring my old camera and shot in auto the entire day (even used my on camera flash!)  So that said I wanted to show one image of my sweet sweet girl at lunch with her doll-remember just a snapshot from the day.  Happy Birthday Sawyer–love you to the moon and back–mom.

Thank you to all my clients who are so patiently waiting for galleries.  I promise to have them all up soon.

A new baby soon

Posted on November 20, 2008

And a few of big sister to be.  I am trying to make up for lack of posts lately!

This beautiful family will soon become a family of four and I am so excited to photograph their newborn.  I had a great time during this maternity session and love the family connections I was able to capture.  I always feel honored when I am invited into a family’s home to capture these special moments.  I recently had a client tell me how much she cherishes her maternity pictures and I totally agree.  I know I cherish mine too.  Thank you so much for a fun session and I am looking forward to meeting your new little one soon.

I’m still here!

I am still here buried in proofing, ordering, and sorting images for clients.  I have an amazing maternity session to share with you all too!  I hope to post some more images soon.  I am having some website and blog issues that need my immediate attention and apologize to all my clients with galleries right now.  I hope to have this all fixed today.  It seems that I had lost Miss Saylor’s post so I am reposting some images.

Warm weather and cute kids

Posted on November 5, 2008

That is a perfect recipe for a fun morning.  This weather has been so great!  Fun to wear flip flops again in November.  We better enjoy it while it lasts!  I had a really fun morning with these two adorable kids.  They both have the most beautiful brown eyes and sweetest smiles.  Mom let us do our thing (which is always a treat for me)  Kids are so different when mom is not around.  More relaxed and silly.  Right away Ben spotted a caterpillar in the grass which was fun and Sophie kept giving me these scrunched up funny faces.  We had a blast.

Hope you all enjoy our last warm day tomorrow.  Who knows maybe we will get more!
