That’s what little boys are made of. I had a fun morning at the studio with two adorable little boys and their mom! I brought a bed down to the studio and it was a huge hit (as I knew it would be) and it went well with their dinosaur pjs. We made pillow forts and mom rolled them into sausage rolls with the blankets. It was a lot of fun! Mom was afraid I was not going to get any good images so I am posting quiet a few GREAT images from the morning.

Sweet baby girl

In the month of March I have been lucky enough to photograph two baby girls named Lydia. Both equally sweet and adorable.
Miss Lydia was a little bit older than most newborns at 16 days old, but she slept like a champ. This is baby number 5 for mom and dad and it was clear how much she is loved. I love all the images from this session especially how sweet and reddish pinkish her lips are–so cute. Thank you for sharing your sweet baby girl with me!

Just one

Meet Miss Emily who just turned one this month. She is one of the happiest one year olds I ever met. Emily came into the studio to visit me last weekend and we had a great time. Look at that red hair. She is just adorable. Hope your enjoy you sneak peek Kara.

As I am finishing up this session I have a few more favorites to share with you. What a beautiful family! I feel so lucky to photograph such amazing families and with spring around the corner I am starting to fill up quickly and will have many more sneak peeks to share. Beautiful Miss Lizzie

Still having issues with Internet Explorer…..hoping it is fixed soon. If you try FireFox or other web browsers you will be able to view my blog.
Now for a sneak peek of this beautiful six year old that came into the studio recently. We had a great time trying new backgrounds and lots of outfit changes. She was such a good sport and a lot of fun and as you can see completely adorable. Thank you Lizzie for a fun morning. You can tell how comfortable you are in front of a camera. I am excited to share your gallery with mom and dad.
I am so happy with the light at the new studio. It is just perfect. I am having fun photographing in my new space. This sneak peek is exactly the feel and look the studio will give your images. Bright colors photograph really well and I will be adding new backgrounds and props as time goes by. I of course will tailor each studio session to your individual needs and taste.
I am starting to fill up quickly for Spring! If you are interested in a session please call early.

New magazine cover

I am still trying to figure out why internet explorer is not showing my blog correctly. If you try another web browser like Firefox it does work correctly. Thank you for your patience.
I was so excited to be able to share my newest magazine cover last week at my grand opening. Milwaukee Family Magazine used several of my images for their lastest cover and several throughout the magazine.
PS. Love my floors at the studio!

newborn studio sessions

Anyone using internet explorer may have problems viewing my blog today. Sorry for any inconvenience, but it works great on Fire Fox.
Happy Monday! The weather the next few days is going to be amazing and full of sunshine. I am so excited to get outside.
Okay so now for my newborn news I promised.
New for 2009 studio newborn session fee $125 for newborn up to 14 days old. The studio offers clean, simple newborn images. I also have all my props there for you to use. Please remember I still travel to you and am very much excited for on location sessions this year. I want to offer options for my clients and make your experience with me tailored to you.
Also new for 2009 you will receive complimentary web-sized and watermarked images of each portrait purchases for your own personal use. These images are low resolution and will not print, but will look great on-line.
Now for a few more of Miss Lydia from Saturdays session at the studio. Such a sweet little peanut. I could have held her all day!

Meet Lydia

I had the most amazing newborn photography session in my studio today. Miss Lydia is 8 days old and my very first session in the studio. She was a dream newborn. Slept the entire time breaking once to eat and then back to sleep. I had so much fun! Just one sneak peek for now. More to come in a few days along with a special newborn annoucement so stay tuned. Melissa thank you for a fun afternoon. I truly enjoyed photographing Lydia. She is just beautiful.

Thank you for a wonderful night!

Thank you so much to everyone that showed their support at the studio tonight. You all packed the studio and is was so much fun. I think I got a chance to talk to each and everyone of you. It was an amazing night! It was so fun to catch up with clients and meet some new faces. I am overwhelmed with the support and encouragement I received tonight. Thank you. Tonight was a very special night–one I will never forget.
I also want to say thank you to everyone that made tonight possible. My family was so supportive, especially my husband. I could not do this without you. Thank you to my parents, in laws, friends and Aunt Laurie and Uncle Joel. This was truly a group effort and I appreciate each and everyone of you. Thank you to everyone for all the beautiful flowers. I will try to get some more pictures of them. Makes me excited for Spring! Thank you Carrie for the great trunk show. The clothes are adorable. I know everyone is so excited to get them.
Also a big thank you to Vic and Kevin Raasch for getting this space completed so quickly and beautifully. Just think two weeks ago it was just concrete floors and walls. If you need any flooring you have to come down to Vic’s Carpet. There is also more space for lease so come check it out.
I want everyone to know that I am still photographing on location. The studio will allow for inside simple and classic sessions using natural light, however, I still will travel to you to photograph. The studio also allows me a space to work, showcase samples of my work and be a meeting place for my clients. I will hold complimentary pre session consultations at the studio to plan your session and soon will be holding in person projection viewing of your images.
I have three sessions this weekend in the studio and will post images as soon as possible so you can all get an idea on how I will use the space.
Now for just a few pictures from today because a post is no fun without pictures!
