I am really far behind on blogging and apologize. It is the first day of school tomorrow and that has kept us really busy.
Mr. Connor came into my studio and was full of smiles. Mom and dad were open to trying one of my new hats which by the way is one of my favorite images from the session!

Back to school soon

I cannot believe school starts next week. Summer has gone by so fast. We had the BEST babysitter this summer for the girls and yesterday was her last day. Tatum was so upset when she left she laid in her bed crying. The girls are really going to miss her while she is away at college. My hope is she comes back next summer! Crossing my fingers. Anyway just wanted to say Rachel you were amazing with the girls. They absolutely adore you and I felt so comfortable and safe leaving them home with you. Hope you have a great time at La Crosse and hope to see you over Christmas Break.

Milwaukee Maternity Photographer

Ahh how I love all the cute pregnant bellies I have been photographing lately! When Carmen and her husband arrived at the studio and I saw the “I’m carried a watermelon shirt” I knew we HAD to have a watermelon for the photo shoot. Good thing Pick N Save is just down the street. Thank you so much for a fun session and I am so excited to meet your new little guy very soon. All your images are just beautiful so many favorites from this session.

Matilda Jane Trunk Show September 11th 6:30-8:00

I am excited to invite you all to my studio on September 11th from 6:30 until 8:00 for a Matilda Jane Trunk Show at my studio in Oconomowoc. If you are not familiar with these clothes please click on the link and check them out. They are super cute and fun. My girls love wearing them and just sparkle a little when they have them on. I had the opportunity to photograph Miss Lola in Brookfield a little while back. She has the largest Matilda Jane warbdorb I have ever seen! She was so fun to photograph. I had to bribe her with piggy back rides so I definitely got my workout that day, but it was well worth it. I just love all her smiles in these images. A true reflection of who she is. A sweet silly happy three year old little girl.
This weekend was a busy one. I had three amazing photograhy sessions today. Yep I said three. Something I have never done before, but we had to squeeze in a session for an important campaign while all his children were in town. I have some wonderful maternity, baby and family images to post very soon. Hope you all enjoy the last week of summer vacation. School starts September 1st for us! Have a wonderful week.

Meet Elliot–Milwaukee newborn photographer

I am one of the luckiest girls I know. I get to meet, photograph and document special times in my clients lives. I get to snuggle newborns and be silly with older children. I LOVE it!
Meet Miss Elliot (Ellie). Is she not the cutest newborn baby girl you have ever seen?! Well she has to be the sweetest for sure. I had the opportunity to photograph her at the studio at 6 days old. Her parents are just in love with her. So attentive and natural parents. Ellie is one lucky little girl. I also hear she has 6 grandparents to love her as well. 6 eager grandparents wanting to see images of their sweet new granddaughter. So without further a do. Meet Ellie at 6 days old.

This is one of my favorite newborn images of all time. Look at how she fits so tight in dad’s arm and how she is holding is finger.
Mom and dad had seen this image on some newborn packaging and wanted to try it. Look at that huge smile. Sweet dreams Ellie.
Another new favorite. You can feel the love. And look how she is grabbing her foot–so sweet.

Oconomowoc Family Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet family last week at Beccee’s parent’s house. It was a beautiful day and what a beautiful estate her parents have in Pewaukee. I love the family connections I was able to capture that day and these two little girls are just breath taking! Thank you for allowing me to capture these family moments for you. It was a true honor.
Beccee and her family will be honored at the Love for Life benefit on Sunday August 23rd at Roosevelt Park in Oconomowoc from 10:00 until 8:00. Please read more about Beccee and her journey HERE. I feel truly blessed to be apart in a small way of this benefit. Many many people have worked so hard to make this day an huge success and I cannot think of a nicer family to be celebrating that day. I hope many of you can make it!

Fun urban photography–wisconsin photographer

I had so much fun with these girls last week. I have photographed them before and am always excited to see them. Mom loves fun urban photography and always brings lots of cute clothes and fun outfits to choose from. The girls are getting so big. I cannot believe it! Sarah thank you for being so fun and open minded and letting me just have fun with your girls. They are beautiful and so much fun.

Kids Fest tomorrow

I am a bit late with this blog post, but better late than never right? Kelly Smith Photography will have a booth at Kids Fest tomorrow at Roosevelt Park. Come down and say hello and enjoy Oconomowoc’s new Imagination Station Playground from 9:00 until 1:00. I have some treats for the kids too so be sure to stop by our booth.
Now for a sneak peek for a sweet family. Sisters. I have a soft spot for sisters because of my girls. I just love to watch how they interact. Ella was so sweet and silly. She loved her big sister and did what ever her big sister did. Christa loved my play cameras and was willing to play my games to get one.

Oconomowoc High School senior portraits

Well it is definitely high school senior portrait time for me and this year I am photographing all boys except for one high school senior girl. Kind of funny how last year it was all girls and this year all boys. Same for my newborn sessions. I guess 2009 is the year for boys!
I had the pleasure of photographing Sam last week. We had a great time, well especially his mom and I–ha! I think Sam had fun too. His images turned out amazing and I am so excited to share them with his family. Sam I hope you have an awesome senior year and football season.
