Sweet Anna and her mom and dad traveled from Illinois last week for Anna’s one year portrait session. I was lucky to have a chance to travel to them for her newborn session and was thrilled when mom emailed me for her one year session. I just knew it was going to be an awesome session when they walked in and Miss Anna was full of smiles. She is so darn cute and I just love her little lips. I know that might sound strange, but she has the cutest lips that are just the perfect shade of red/pink. As I was editing these images I put little stars next to my favorites so I know which ones to blog and when I look at the list I have little stars next to all the images with only a few exceptions! I still don’t know which ones to blog. They are all so good! Sarah I hope you enjoy your peek.
Have a great weekend everyone. If you are looking for something to do tomorrow there is the LakeWalk for Cancer around Fowler Lake in Oconomowoc. Great cause and a fun way to get involved with your family. Hope to see familiar faces there!

I just love the image above. A sweet little kiss from mom. I do this all the time with my girls and don’t even realize it. So glad I capture it for them.

I have been so busy with newborns lately and was going through galleries and had a few more favorites that I just had to share. I feel so lucky to be able to capture this time in a new families life. There is nothing sweeter than a newborn baby. All the excitement, sleeplessness, joy, fear ect that new parents feel. I remember all of that and am sad about how fast time has gone by wishing I had images of my girls like these.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Tatum goes back to school tomorrow for the first time since her tonsil and adenoid surgery. I hope it is a great day for her. I am a little worried. She if feeling great, but very sad tonight about going back to school. Hmm.. That is not like her. Wish me luck tomorrow!

I was so excited to see this sweet family again. I had the privilege of photographing baby Jason when he was still in his mom’s tummy and again as a newborn. Check out how adorable he is now at 6 months. That curly hair and sweet smile will melt anyone’s heart. I was so excited to get some amazing portraits with mom and dad. You can tell how much he loves them and how much they love him. Kamilah and Jason these are going to make great wall galleries for you–especially for the six months you are traveling.

Wow it has been a huge baby boom at Kelly Smith Photography lately and I love every minute of it!! This sweet family came to the studio from Illinois just days after sweet baby Juliana was born. She was the perfect baby–sweet, happy and slept like a champ. Mom and dad were equally sweet and willing to try anything. Annie looks simply amazing just days after having a Miss Juliana. ( I never looked that good–ha!) Here is a sneak peek of just a few of my favorites. Hope everyone is having a great day!

Sweet Miss Finnley, her big brother, mom, aunt and mom’s friend came into the studio last week for her portrait session. She was super sleepy and a complete dream to photograph. Big brother was SUPER good–the best big brother I have had at the studio!!! I had so much fun during this session and really love each and every image. Finnley has the most gorgeous eye lashes I have ever seen on a newborn!
I had many awesome sessions this week at the studio that I cannot wait to share with you all!!!

This sweet little guy and his parents came into the studio last week and he was just a joy to photograph. I just love it when dads come for the portrait session too. We are then able to capture sweet images in dad’s arms and hands. I am showing all black and whites this time which is a change for me, but I just love them for Landon’s portraits. Especially the first one–another all time favorite.
Happy Tuesday!

Another sweet and adorable family came to the studio for their portrait session last week–I even got to meet their sweet dog! We were planning on an outdoor session, however, the weather did not want to cooperate! We got some wonderful images for this family. I am very excited to share this gallery. Just a little sneak peek for now.
Hope everyone is enjoying the awesome weather today. We spent the morning walking around downtown Delafield and made our way to Cushing Park. I am so excited for summer.

I am very behind on my sneak peeks so will try to make it up with many favorites from this on location session in Menomonee Falls. I had so much fun being on location. I love how unique portrait session can be in a families own home. This little guy was so happy and a joy to photograph. Mom loves black and white images and I promise Leah to show you many, but I just had to post the color this time–especially with his amazing blue eyes. I have some of big brother too, but that will have to wait until another day. The first image in my favorite–I think (I have many from this session) I know most parents really want full smile portraits, but I often gravitate to more serious images. Don’t worry there are many smiles and laughs documented in his gallery, but I am just so drawn to the first image.
Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
Kelly
