I was so excited when mom called me to set up this session.  I photographed Beau when he was a newborn and was a cutie pie he is now.  And can I tell you he is one of the happiest one year olds I know.  Oh and he just loves his mom and dad.   So nice to see what a happy and loving connection they have.

I am a little behind on sneak peeks and this one if officially not a sneak peek anymore.  I had a really fun morning at this families home on the lake.  It was a lot warmer and sunnier than it has been here the last few days–makes me miss the sunshine.  I love how girlie these girls were dressed and you could tell they loves being in their pink skirts.  Super cute!  Hope everyone is having a great fall weekend.  We are off to Elkhorn for another gymnastics meet tomorrow.  Good luck to my bean.

Oh how I love newborns. I know that new moms and dads don’t always want to be in pictures especially days after having a baby, but I tell you I am so jealous of all my clients portraits. I WISH I had pictures of me with my girls. Not only for me, but for them when they have children someday. It gets so hard to remember them when they are this small. I know your days probably feel like they are standing still right now, but trust me–it all goes by too quickly. Cherish every moment. Even when you are exhausted.
Thank you Steven and Andrea for sharing sweet Hayden with me. She is just perfect in every way. I really enjoyed my day with you all. What a sweet little girl you have.

I am very tired (up for 20 hours yesterday, but learned a ton at a conference in Illinois) and ready for bed, but just have to post a sneak peek for Michelle and Mike of their adorable little Maddie.  She was so sweet and fun to photograph.  I love how she curled up so nice in the first one for me.  She preferred to stretch her legs, but I did get her to curl up for a couple.  Hope everyone  has a great weekend and if you all could say a little pray to keep the rain away I would really appreciate it!!!

PS   Some really exciting news coming soon.  After some brainstorming today I have come up with an awesome new “thing” to offer.  I cannot give it all away, but trust me it is really cool!!!!

I thought I would mix things up a little and post all black and white tonight!  Meet sweet little Easton, big brother Jackson and last but not least mom and dad.  I am just in love with the family images from this session.  Capturing a new family is just so important.  The babies get big and in the midst of all the sleepless nights, diaper changes and dividing your time between children you just forget how small they once were.  There really is just something really special about a new little family.  I am so honored I could capture that for them.

I have been so fortunate to work with the most beautiful high school
seniors this year. I mean drop dead gorgeous on the outside and equally
beautiful on the inside. Colleen I have sooo many favorites from your
session. It is going to be very hard to choose. Thank you for letting
me do what ever I wanted. Seriously stunning!
And a big thank you the property owner for giving me exclusive permission to use his land.

When I was editing these images I could not believe it was just two weeks ago when the weather was soooo hot. At the end of the session the kids were jumping in the lake! The weather sure does change fast. What a fun morning with this adorable family. They have the best yard in town I think with a great wooden swing–super fun!  Kelly

Mr. Gavin was all boy for his one year old portraits.  We met at his house and played in the back yard.  He was definitely more interested in rocks and sticks than me–I totally get it Gavin :)!  I really love all his portraits because they capture a typically one year old exploring all around the yard and his eyes just sparkle in every single one.

Miss Hana was so cute with her smiles and look at all her hair! She would go crazy for one of her special toys just by seeing it. It was really the funniest thing I have ever seen. And super cute too.  I just love 6 and 9 month old sessions.  One of my most favorite ages to photograph!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Lauren on her school campus (which is breath taking) and at the lakefront.  It was a fun morning exploring and what a beautiful girl.  Like most high school seniors Lauren is very busy and I am so glad we could fit this into both our busy schedules.  I know that will be great at whatever she does–Best of luck to you!

Just one black and white.  Her eyes just make such a statement in this image.  One of my favorites.
