Wish Event and Susan G Komen

I am so excited to be hosting a Wish Party and raising money for the Susan G Komen walk for a cure on Thursday July 21st from 4 to 8 at my Oconomowoc studio located at N48W36115 E Wisconsin Ave(right across from the Kilte). I hope everyone can make this fun event. There are some wonderful clothing and jewelry to choose from, wine and snacks. Great ladies night out. Spread the word and bring a friend.

These adorable twins came into the Oconomowoc studio last week and we the best little models for 8 week olds. They just came home from the hospital the week before and I feel so honored to have them in my studio. I just am in love with all these images…so many favorites.

I have to admit I was a little surprised when mom emailed me and ask if I could squeeze them in for a newborn session because it had been only 16 months since I photographed sweet Paige and three years since I photographed the twins….that’s right 3 year old twins, a 16 month old and a newborn….what a lucky and busy family. Sweet Alexis was so good and laid back for her portraits in her Mequon home. I really enjoyed my time with all four kids and have some amazing portraits to document this special time in their lives. I know when you have small children time seems to stand still and then you look back and it is a blur (of course I am speaking from experience.) That is why portraits are so important….perfect for remember how small and sweet your children where.

I always feel honored when a family invites me into their home, but especially days after have a new baby. This beautiful family is now a family of 5 with three girls to fill their home with laughter and giggles. Sweet little Finnian reminded me so much of my girls when they were babies. He was not so much interested in sleeping, but we managed to get a few in dad’s arms that melt my heart. Thank you Phil and Jolene for sharing your sweet boy with me. I hope you are getting some rest.

I cannot believe it is summer and school is out tomorrow. Where is time going??
My summer is almost full and I am thinking about opening up my Fall calendar. Please get in touch soon if you want to book a session. I am sticking to my guns this summer and only taking on a limited number of session so I can spend time with my family as they are going up in front of my eyes (and still like me and like spending time with me…a few short years and they will be teenagers…hopefully they will still like me then too 
)

Exciting!!!

I am so excited to be featured on the blog The Lens Loves. It is a place where portrait photographers can go and be inspired. So needless to say I was thrilled when Krista emailed me asking if they could feature my Fall portrait session with the Kabara Family. What an awesome feeling to be picked by my peers for my work! I definitely have an extra pep in my step today. Hope you are all having a great day! I promise to catch up on the blog soon. I have an adorable family to feature and two newborns to photograph tomorrow…lot of adorable baby images to share soon I am sure.

Meet little Elise. We had such a great time capturing these images at the studio last week. I love all the girls being born lately. I was on a huge boy streak for awhile. I love them all, but fun to get out some girlie stuff too.

Sweet little Lola was a absolute doll in the studio last week. I had the privilege of photographing her big brother almost two years ago and was so honored to photograph her as well. She made her entrance into this world a little early (10 weeks) but is doing well and so adorable. Thank you Tricia and Tony for sharing Lola with me.

It has been a baby boom for sure for Kelly Smith Photography this month and next too. I love all these sweet babies and families I am getting a chance to meet and document. This handsome little guy was so good for me. I had so much fun with him and his mom and grandma at the studio. He loved to stretch out and was just the sweetest. Love all his portraits. Thank you for sharing your son with me Katrina. I am so happy your mom was able to be at the session too.
