I had so much fun with this adorable family last week. They are seriously the sweetest people I know. I love all the images from this portrait session. We decided on sunset and I am so glad we did. Their portraits are amazing and I am so excited to see what they do with them. Thank you Gretchen, Fuzzy and kids for a fun night. Your family is beautiful–inside and out.

This is the third time I have gotten a chance to photograph sweet Connor. His first portrait session at 6 months he was full of smiles and quiet the little flirt. Now at 18 months he really was more interested in exploring and less interested in having his picture taken–which is very typical for 18 month olds. Mom wanted to get some pictures of just him before his new baby sister or brother arrives so they could remember this special time with just Connor. Grandma and Grandpa even came and I got some super sweet images with them. Thank you for a fun morning and I will be in touch soon with your gallery.

I love this one above because it just fit him for that day. I also love how the back of his hairline comes to that little V. One of the little things you don’t notice daily, but so representative of how little he is.

Connor with Grandma. They were so sweet together.

Exploring with Grandpa.

With dad.

Last weekend this sweet family braved the heat and meet with me on the Marquette campus for some family pictures–mom and dad both graduated from Marquette, had their engagement portraits there and were married steps away. I love how much connection this family has to this location–makes it very special. Good idea dad! It was soooo hot, but they were awesome and such good sports. Just a few of their adorable boys for now.

New website
Posted on July 14, 2010
Hi all. I know I have been a little behind on blog posts and sneak peeks, but wow is summer busy! I cannot believe that every store already has all the school supplies out–I am not ready to see that yet! We bought the girls one of those blue pools and all the supplies are clearanced out making room for the back to school supplies. I hope you are all having a great summer.
When you get a chance check out my new website. I am so happy with how it all came together. Lots of late nights, but totally worth it.
Now a post is not a post without a few pictures. Here are a few of sweet Sofia from a few posts ago. I promised a few more so here they are. She is just adorable. I’m meeting with mom and grandma soon to pick out portraits for their home. I cannot wait to here which ones are their favorites.

Sweet Sofia came into the studio today for her portraits with mom, grandma and her aunt. She is just the most adorable little girl with the biggest blue eyes and sweet smile. She just lite up the studio and is definitely very loved. Grandma is the one who first called me and is just in love with her granddaughter. She said Sofia loves the camera and she was right! It was like she just knew what to do. I had the best day with everyone at the studio today. Thank you! I know there are going to be many favorites from this session and I promise to post more later. Just one for now for mom and grandma.

I will be out of town through July 8th for a workshop and family vacation in Colorado. I hope you all have a fun holiday and I cannot wait to get back to all my wonderful summer portrait sessions. I am currently booking into August and have opened my calendar for Fall. Please call and schedule early. Portrait sessions fill up very quickly.

Here are a few of my favorites (ok a lot of my favorites) from a portrait session this past weekend. Stella has gotten so big. For everyone that has been in the studio she is the large canvas of the newborn above my mirror with her hands resting on her chin. Look how big she is now!! And how cute. Alex was not very interested in having his picture taken, but he is 3 and I still got some cute ones!!! These two have the most beautiful blues eyes and are always dressed so cute–thank you Melissa.

6 month portraits…milwaukee photogrpaher

I must apologize again for being behind with blog posts. Sweet Claire and her parents came into the studio for her first portrait session at 6 months. She is cute as a button and loved to blow raspberries. I think she wins the record for blowing the most raspberries in one session from any client so far. I guess it probably did not help that we all kept laughing each time she did it too. Well this is no longer a sneak peek, but I wanted to share some adorable pictures from this session. Thank you so much Kim and Justice.

I am super behind in blog posts and apologize. Life is getting busier and busier every day. I thought when your children get older (out of diapers and bottles) life became easier–well not really. Pair that with running your own business, volunteering, creating a new website, taking on more commercial projects, workshops and a hubby that volunteers too life can really seem crazy.
Well I know this proud mom is waiting to see her sneak peek so I had to edit just these two for her tonight. They are the most adorable big brown eyed duo ever!! I had a blast with them at the studio. I first photographed sweet Aubrey as a newborn and look at her now at 1–simply gorgeous. Mr. Drew is pretty darn cute too! Thank you for a fun afternoon.
More sneak peeks to come soon.

Matilda Jane Contest
Posted on May 17, 2010
I had a great time yesterday at one of my client’s Matilda Jane trunk shows. I was there to take pictures of any girl that wanted to be entered into the Matilda Jane photo contest. I tell you girls just light up when they put pretty clothes on. It was really fun and the weather was awesome. Here are just a few pictures from yesterday.

I finally got to use my new headband. I love it, but not sure how to get it on–ha!
Oh and yes I do have three daughters, but my middle has decided not to be in any pictures anymore. Fast forward 15 years and I can hear her asking me “Mom why don’t you have any pictures of me?” Oh well. I’ll have to sneak some.
Happy Monday!

Sweet Anna and her mom and dad traveled from Illinois last week for Anna’s one year portrait session. I was lucky to have a chance to travel to them for her newborn session and was thrilled when mom emailed me for her one year session. I just knew it was going to be an awesome session when they walked in and Miss Anna was full of smiles. She is so darn cute and I just love her little lips. I know that might sound strange, but she has the cutest lips that are just the perfect shade of red/pink. As I was editing these images I put little stars next to my favorites so I know which ones to blog and when I look at the list I have little stars next to all the images with only a few exceptions! I still don’t know which ones to blog. They are all so good! Sarah I hope you enjoy your peek.
Have a great weekend everyone. If you are looking for something to do tomorrow there is the LakeWalk for Cancer around Fowler Lake in Oconomowoc. Great cause and a fun way to get involved with your family. Hope to see familiar faces there!

I just love the image above. A sweet little kiss from mom. I do this all the time with my girls and don’t even realize it. So glad I capture it for them.
