I had the opportunity to meet this sweet family at their lake home for some family portraits. It was a fun morning and what a beautiful property they have with a great lake view. I really love all their family portraits. I can still here all the giggles. Thank you Tami and Tom for sharing your family with me. I am very excited for your ordering session.

Here are a few of my favorites (ok a lot of my favorites) from a portrait session this past weekend. Stella has gotten so big. For everyone that has been in the studio she is the large canvas of the newborn above my mirror with her hands resting on her chin. Look how big she is now!! And how cute. Alex was not very interested in having his picture taken, but he is 3 and I still got some cute ones!!! These two have the most beautiful blues eyes and are always dressed so cute–thank you Melissa.

I love these images of Miss Stella. She is so sweet and petite and adorable. I was really excited to get a chance to use my new stool and couch and Miss Stella was the perfect model for me. I love them. I love them all! The bright colors have me so excited for spring and sunshine. It will be here before we know it!!
Happy Tuesday.

Sweet Boy–Delafield Children Photographer

I have been photographing Alex since he was just a newborn and I tell you he gets cuter and cuter every time I see him. The last time I photographed him one of the images made the cover of Tot Trends Magazine cover. Recently I photographed his new sister and managed to snap a few of him in the studio. Those big blue eyes and blonde hair get me everytime. I LOVE my job–I really do. I am one lucky girl.

As I am sitting here typing this blog entry I keep erasing the words because I cannot seem to get them right. I guess I am so excited to post this image and am in love with it so much there do not seem to be words to describe it. Thank you Melissa for helping with this pose and sticking with me until we got it. Patience is the name of the game with newborns along with a fully tummy and warm space. What a beautiful daughter you have (Mr. Alex is pretty darn handsome too, but I am saving those for a different post)!
I hope you all have a fun and safe holiday weekend.

Father’s Day gift
Posted on April 10, 2009
This mother and daughter came into the Oconomowoc studio this week for some portraits together for a Father’s Day gift for dad–it is a surprise. How sweet is that! We had a great time and I was able to capture some AMAZING images that I am sure they will cherish forever. I was even lucky enough to get a few sweet snuggles myself. I just love it when little ones stand up and back into your lap. My girls are too big for that now. I know mom is a little afraid that I did not get any good images and I cannot wait to share these with her!
Hope you all have a great holiday weekend and the weather is warm for all the Easter Egg hunts on Sunday.

This was at the end of the session and she was a little tired, but I am in love with this image. It is not often you get a 14 month old to be so still-ha!

I cannot choose between color or black and white. I love them both. This picture just makes my heart melt. So sweet.

Now that I am entering my second year of professional photography it is fun to see clients come back for another session. I was lucky enough to photograph mom when she was pregnant and this little sweetheart when she was a newborn. So fun to watch them grow.
