I had the most amazing newborn photography session in my studio today. Miss Lydia is 8 days old and my very first session in the studio. She was a dream newborn. Slept the entire time breaking once to eat and then back to sleep. I had so much fun! Just one sneak peek for now. More to come in a few days along with a special newborn annoucement so stay tuned. Melissa thank you for a fun afternoon. I truly enjoyed photographing Lydia. She is just beautiful.

Thank you for a wonderful night!

Thank you so much to everyone that showed their support at the studio tonight. You all packed the studio and is was so much fun. I think I got a chance to talk to each and everyone of you. It was an amazing night! It was so fun to catch up with clients and meet some new faces. I am overwhelmed with the support and encouragement I received tonight. Thank you. Tonight was a very special night–one I will never forget.
I also want to say thank you to everyone that made tonight possible. My family was so supportive, especially my husband. I could not do this without you. Thank you to my parents, in laws, friends and Aunt Laurie and Uncle Joel. This was truly a group effort and I appreciate each and everyone of you. Thank you to everyone for all the beautiful flowers. I will try to get some more pictures of them. Makes me excited for Spring! Thank you Carrie for the great trunk show. The clothes are adorable. I know everyone is so excited to get them.
Also a big thank you to Vic and Kevin Raasch for getting this space completed so quickly and beautifully. Just think two weeks ago it was just concrete floors and walls. If you need any flooring you have to come down to Vic’s Carpet. There is also more space for lease so come check it out.
I want everyone to know that I am still photographing on location. The studio will allow for inside simple and classic sessions using natural light, however, I still will travel to you to photograph. The studio also allows me a space to work, showcase samples of my work and be a meeting place for my clients. I will hold complimentary pre session consultations at the studio to plan your session and soon will be holding in person projection viewing of your images.
I have three sessions this weekend in the studio and will post images as soon as possible so you can all get an idea on how I will use the space.

Sorry for the lack of blog posts lately, but I have been very busy getting ready for the grand opening event on March 12th! The studio is coming along great and I am so impressed with the light in my shooting space. It is amazing already even with out the walls painted or the ceiling or floor in yet and at 4:00 in the afternoon! The contractors are busy finishing every thing up and I could not be happier. I am so excited to share the finished space with you all. I managed to get a picture of Tatum(ignore the goofy smile–that is what I get a lot of lately from her) today at the studio and will share it here. I LOVE the light!! Stay tuned for some more images in the studio soon and don’t forget to come on down March 12th from 5:00 until 8:00 for my Matilda Jane Trunk Show and Open House.

I am so excited for my Grand Opening event and Matilda Jane trunk show. I just cannot keep it secret anymore (plus a few of you have really good eyes and have already emailed me about it)! It is going to be a fun night! Matilda Jane clothes are so beautiful and the new spring line is being unveiled soon just in time for Easter outfits! If you visit the Matilda Jane site now you will find only a few pieces from the Fall line still available at 60% off. All the clothes on my girls are from the Fall line. They are just as adorable in person as in pictures. You will not be able to purchase the new Spring line on line so mark your calendars for March 12th. What a fun way to see some beautiful clothes and check out my new studio. Who knows I might even be giving away a few things! So please tell all your friends and get ready for some fabulous clothes, fun conversation, and a night out. All my current clients will be getting personal invitations. I’m so excited

Kenadie so graciously volunteered to be my model the other day when I was looking at some potential natural light studio space. Yes I said studio space! I am so excited and have so many fun ideas for this space. Some walls will go up and a new wood floor will go down (so just ignore the blue carpet-ha!) and a fresh coat of white paint. I should know soon if I am getting the space, but I just had to share some images with this gorgeous light. The possiblities will be endless here. I am already thinking about some fun winter specials and have all kinds of new furniture picked out! This will be a dream come true for me. This would mean the world to me. Keep your fingers crossed!
I will be posting some images of my new FABULOUS albums I am going to offer. The quality is like nothing I have seen. They are simpily beautiful.
